There are lots of different factors that need to be taken into account for different businesses. However, this rough guide will give you a rough idea of your business electricity costs, based on the size of your business.

Business Electricity Costs for a Micro-Business
If you employee between 1 and 9 employees your business is classed as a micro-business. It is likely that your electricity costs as a micro-business will be relatively low. We would suggest that you would use around 10,000 kWh of electricity per year for your business. If the daily standing charge was 23.33 p and the unit charge 13.21p per kWh we would expect you to have an annual electricity bill of £1,406.15 per year for your business electricity.
Business Electricity Costs for a Small Business
If you have between 10 and 49 employees, your business is classed as small business. We would predict that the average small business uses 20.000n kWh per year. The standing charge could be 23.33p per day. If the unit price was 13.11p per kWh then this would total the annual business electricity bill at £2,707.15 per annum.
Business Electricity Costs for a Medium Business
A medium business is classed as a business with 50 to 250 employees. The average medium business will use around 40,000 kWh per year. Typically, they will have a standing charge of 23.09p per day. Based on a unit price of 13.11p per kWh the annual cost of a medium business electricity cost will total £5,308.28 per year.
